Mark Trubisky is becoming more recognized as one of the biggest sports artists today. His work is popular for private collections, sport teams and charity auctions.

Trubisky is a self-taught artist and has experimented with various styles and techniques over the years to create his own style. Trubisky's goal when creating artwork is to make the viewer a participant. He strives to make emotional connections with viewers through his pieces. Trubisky uses a dynamic color palette with light and atmosphere to create a mood and emotion. He uses impressionism in his pieces to capture the action and emotion in sports.

Trubisky said that his art is "the triumph and celebration in sports everyone can find appealing." The ideas explored in his art is overcoming obstacles, resiliency and hard work. Everyone goes through times where they compete for something that is important to them. His artwork is about those experiences and the fatigue and doubt one must go through. In his paintings, Trubisky tries to capture the action or critical point of a decision or outcome in sports. He tries to capture the success of sports in his paintings. He also tries to position the composition so the viewer really feels like they are witnessing the sports moment.

Although Trubisky is a self-taught artist, he is also a student of art history. He believes that it is important to learn technique and also the social implications of art. Trubisky has spent a lot of time studying the effect of light on color. A lot of the mood and atmosphere is accomplished with the use of highlight. Trubisky has also spent a lot of time studying his color and palette, which is the core of his artwork.

Trubisky believes that it is essential to understand the social implications of art that artists of the past reflected upon and captured. Once an artist understands this, he says that it helps an artist develop his or her won identity as life shapes their world view. Trubisky believes that creating art just for the sake of art is a waste of intellect and effort.

Trubisky tries not to market his art as carbon-copies just to sell. Each piece of his is an expressive experience where he is not afraid to experiment and sometimes fail. Trubisky believes that all great art is an extension and reinterpretation of what preceded it. Art evolves from the familiar and becomes transformational over time.
